Uniqueness of Samaritan
Samaritan is a nonprofit agency offering faith-sensitive counseling. We never endorse or promote any one religious belief but endeavor to work within the client's belief system.
The goal of the professional clinical staff is to work with the clients
to bring wholeness and a sense of purpose to their lives. The licensed
mental health professionals offer assistance for varied mental illnesses
and life crises. While never imposing their own beliefs or values
upon others, the counselors treat the values and beliefs of clients
with respect as they are seen as powerful resources for healing.
The staff uses their personal faith backgrounds to build on the client's belief systems. While the therapists often draw upon the insights of theology, they provide nonsectarian faith-sensitive interventions.
No Referral Required!
A person does not have to be referred to receive services.
While many clients are referred by their pastors, friends, family, physicians, MHMR, other counselors, or even other agencies, "self-referals" are welcome.
Counseling is available from age four and up.
