Here’s Why Samaritan Needs Your Help …
The wretched physical appearance of the woman seeking our help was
a window to her inner turmoil. A gaunt 80 pounds; her voice
quivered when she spoke; her fingers bled from where she
had chewed her nails; and her eyes were dark and desperate.
This once proud woman had come to the Samaritan Counseling Center because after losing here family, her job,
and her self-esteem, she had finally lost her way.
This woman may be someone you know. Someone you may see everyday. And this is just one example of a person that comes to Samaritan hoping and praying that the professional counselors can help her find her way back to a better life.
What if Samaritan had no funds to provide pro bono counseling for this woman so in need of help? What if the staff had to tell her, "Sorry, we don't have the money to help you right now?"
Only you can help the Samaritan staff keep from ever having to say that. In their 33 years, the Center has rarely turned anyone away for lack of funding. But times are harder now and funding is tighter. To assure that everyone will continue finding professional help at Samaritan Counseling Center, we are asking for your help.
