Supervised Visitations and Exchanges
Through careful monitoring and documentation, the Samaritan Counseling Center offers court-ordered supervised visitations between noncustodial parents and one or more children. Another parent-child program is the supervised exchange where the transfer of the child from one parent to another is done in a neutral, safe environment without parents having to confron each other.
Visitation Programs
We provide the following services:
Monitored Child Exchange
- Monitored Exchange is the supervision of the transfer of the child from one parent to another.
- The child benefits from the reduction in adult conflict.

Supervised Visitation
Court-ordered supervised visitation refers to family time between a non-custodial parent and one or more children in the presence of a third person responsible for observing and seeking to ensure the safety of those involved.

Service Fees
- Responsibility for service fees are noted in your Court Order documents.
- When funds are available, the staff will work with individuals who meet specific guidelines to qualify for a reduced fee.
To Get Started
The adults in the child's life may apply by agreement from both parties or by court order. Referrals may be accepted from court orders, social services, or individuals with knowledge of the Samaritan Counseling Center.
For Kids' Sake Seminars

- For Kids' Sake seminars provide parent education to assist in easing the pain and trauma children often felt during divorce.
- This 4-hour class meets the court-ordered requirements for divorced parents with minor children.
Rollercoasters - for children of change
- A multi-session program with accompanying children's activity book designed for children ages 5-8 who have experienced a rollercoaster of changes in their family due to separation, divorce or re-marriage.
- Rollercoasters is taught by child guidance professionals working together sending messages of encouragement and hope.

For The Children
- Children maintain a relationship with both of their parents, something that is generally found to be an important factor in positive adjustment to divorce.
- They can anticipate family time without the stress of worrying about what is going to happen.
- To enjoy family time in a safe, comfortable environment without having to be put in the middle of their parents' conflict and/or other problems.

For The Visiting Parents
- You can be sure that your contact with your children does not have to be interrupted regardless of any personal or interpersonal problems you may be having.
- If allegations have been made against you, you can have family time without fear of any new accusations because there is someone present who can verify what happened during family time.
For The Custodial Parents
- They do not have to communicate or have contact with a person with whom they are in conflict or by whom they may be frightened or intimidated.
- The arrangements are made by a neutral party - our staff.
