Ben Hubert brings a diverse academic and professional background to his work as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor.  He earned both his Bachelor of Arts (1984) and Master of Divinity (1987) degrees from Texas Christian University.  In 2014, he completed his Master of Science in Counseling Psychology at Angelo State University.

In 2017, Ben became a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) through the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors, and in 2022, he was credentialed as a Board-Approved Supervisor (LPC-S).  As an LPC-S, Ben provides clinical supervision to LPC-Associates working toward full licensure in the state of Texas.

Ben specializes in couples therapy and holds certification as a Gottman Method Couples Therapist through the Gottman Institute. His work includes supporting couples navigating relational challenges, affair recovery, and sex addiction recovery. In addition to completing all three levels of Gottman Method training, Ben has advanced training in Treating Affairs and Trauma and is a certified educator for Bringing Baby Home (BBH)—a psychoeducational program designed to help expectant and new parents maintain emotional connection and relationship satisfaction during the early years of parenthood.

While relational health is Ben’s primary focus, his broader clinical expertise includes:

  • Certification in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Specialized training through the American Association for Sex Addiction Therapy
  • Advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) through the Beck Institute and under the instruction of Dr. Christine Padesky

Ben has been a part of West Texas Counseling & Guidance (WTCG) since 2014 and practices on the 10th floor of the historic Cactus Hotel, located at 36 E. Twohig Avenue, San Angelo, Texas.
